In this video i did a replication of the zero transformer setup which is explained by vladimir utkin.
I plan to use this for charging my battteries with solar-power.
if you have questions - just ask.

Hello Baerndorfer, excellent experience.
I just returned from a week of traveling and not much happened on the forum.
Luckily you posted this video here on the forum. It's very interesting. I've watched it a few times.
Yes, I have a question.
Does the frequency change much towards the end when the power drops using the Tesla technique?
This encourages me to continue. You are very careful in your presentation, you are a model.
Jagau
Hello Jagau,
Since i set the frequency on my halfbridge, it did not change at all. It is fixed.
So, the switching frequency always stays the same.

Nice..
Could you explain pros | cons for battery charging using solar panels (using above zero transformer) in regards with direct solar to battery charging...
One more interesting - 16 Mar 2025 (YT description got more video parts)
Regards
In my opinion it is best to convert the power from solar panel into a resonating source dipole. this source should be part of a magnetic-system (toroid, E-core, etc) where the extracted energy did not reflect back. we should have an open system where energy from environment can be used to give some extra power (like heat-pumps do). actually i do not know what works best but in my case i will go with this toroid system with a few more components which i will present when my testing is done.
what i know is, that fast switching plays a keyrole in my setup. Jagau and others have done many tests on this subject and i recommend reading it.
since i do no 'ordinary' charging i cannot give an advice here. i would not recommend doing it like everybody does

Hi worldcup
You will find your answers on this site about the Pros and Cons of Grid-Tied vs. Off-Grid Solar
https://solar.neilkelly.com/blog/pros-cons-grid-tied-off-grid-solar-power/
Here is the Zero transformer of Utkin at the end of the page.

Jagau
now this is result from power analysis
i use 4W +/-10% for reaching 1,4kVA in the system. this is because the current is highly oszillating but has a low Iavg value. and there is no heat at all. everything is room-temperature.
CH1 is input pulse, CH3 is current on low side of power supply. CH2 is voltage from power supply.
Hi Berndorfer
The first image is difficult to read i cannot zoom in.
If I'm reading correctly, you have an instantaneous power of 4.6 W
and an real (average) power of 3.8 W ??
Jagau
'Instant' is the last data snapshot. In this run i did 169 iterations and 'Average' is the value we should look at.
have a nice day!
