Thank you, I don't want own thread for now, may be later.

I don't see much point publishing unfinished or unsuccessful experiments.

... and my experience shows that most proabbly nobody will read it anyway šŸ˜€

Every experiment is interesting and a lot can be learned from both successful or failed experiments.

Plus in a thread you can receive advices or ideas and you can use it later as notes when you need details about them.

When you want to create your own thread feel free to do it.

Hello,

I'm adding here for later one of Joel Lagace's experiments I find interesting and related to ZPM:

I downloaded the video so we can have it on our server too:

Even if it's not an ZPM it has some things in common:

  • Metglass core (even if we also have a successful ZPM replication by Realco using a CRT ferrite core here);
  • Coils seems to have the same 1/3 turns ratio;
  • Works at it's specific resonant frequency which needs to be searched for (see ZPM's frequency-sweep);
  • At its specific resonant frequency the input goes down to a few milliamperes;
  • The "ringing" of the core after the input pulse is gone;
  • While powering its load the device is also sending power back to the DC source.

What's different:

  • The input coil is made of iron and only the output coil is made of copper;
  • The input and output coils are not connected together;
  • Not sure if the coils are producing opposing magnetic fields but I guess the LED placed on output which also acts like a diode could produce that.
