With SRO the way I designed it it adjusts to the resonance frequency by itself, just adjust the R2 POT to have the required voltage at the output.

Hi Jagau, all.

Thanks for this thread. I was inspired to do some experiments and I am excited to see promising results. All my experiments so far have been with single capacitor discharge events. Just manually filling a cap and then manually discharging through various circuits. Attached is a schematic and photo of a messy circuit on my bench.

I believe that the input capacitor, although it discharges fully, is only furnishing about 1/3 of the joules that end up in the output capacitor, and the other 2/3 end up shorted across the chokes and GDT. I believe that if the push switch was replaced with a switch that opened when the GDT fired, then this would be over unity.

I loved your two YTs, you are on the right track disruptive discharge is the right path, N.Tesla talked about it so much that it is still relevant and interesting what you do.

Yes Sandy you are correct.

P.S. I see you are familiar with the SINGLE function of your oscilloscope.

If you have time try the proposed circuit with the Self Resonant Oscillator (SRO) and 2 batteries you will be surprised by the result.

Let me get this right, the blue trace is the input capacitor which is 0.15uF and the yellow trace is the output capacitor which is 0.3uF? Are you sure? Can you double check?

I join Alteredunity to tell you not to give up, your experiences are important, everyone has the right to have less good results, especially for the group of researchers like all of us here who take time to do experiments and even more time to demonstrate them.

I repeat that you are on the right track, disruptive discharge is a winning solution.

There will soon be very important developments on this subject.

I understand your frustration very well, I've already been there.
