This is my replication of Jagau's Micro-Generator:

The circuit for those who want to do it.

If you need advice, just ask, I'll be happy to help you.

Hi AlteredUnity,

Very nice ! šŸ™‚

I think the components values should be as close as possible on what Jagau calculated and put in the schematics.

Also try with a big LED, the one I use is this: OSUB0231A-MN.

Of course there is a variable and it depends on the location where the device is running, that's the density of the energy in the area. I mean the artificial (man-made) and natural radio spectrum plus the amount of radiation from space in the area. Also it depends on the area of the metal connected to the device.

For example, in the room my device is running in I have a router having both 2.4 and 5 GHz wireless networks active, I intend to temporarily shutdown both wireless networks and see if visually there is any difference in the intensity and frequency of the pulses.

About the metalic area, I'm using the metalic parts of the experiments table I shown in the video, the table has its edges and its legs made from aluminum.

So yeah, your device is functioning properly, it just needs more closer components values and also needs to be adapted to the area it's running in like using a bigger metallic surface.

Fighter

I shutdown both wireless networks for a few minutes and didn't noticed any differences in the intensity or frequency of the pulses, at least not noticeable visually.

So this is the video of the device running when there are 0 radio emissions from my router:

Excellent Replication Alteredunity, bravo

By any chance are you able to describe the operation of maybe this circuit

The purpose of this circuit is to make lit the LED D3 in the small yellow square. The red square represents the supply of the circuit, the ambient AC is rectified in DC tension and stored in C2

The entire green square represents the switch which is closed only when the voltage divider R1 and R2 reaches the desired tension of activation of the SCR Q1 and Q2. The resistors are very high in order to have a minimum current in the voltage divider.

In the following image the two ways to have a SCR operated with two BJT, positive pulse and negative way for momentary pulsed activated by the capacitor C1 and R4 .

Yes, the Q1et Q2 transistors, in the greater yellow square, are configured as a switch, SCR well known like the SRO, which is triggered by the C1 R4 and Q3 arrangements, in the brown square, configured to activate the PNP which requires pulse to close the SCR Q1 and Q2 and thus lit the white LED.

In a short way, C1 R4 activates Q3 which sends a positive pulse to the base of the SCR Q1-Q2 which puts it in conduction mode and lights the LED and the cycle begins again.

The easiest explanation possible, I hope you understood correctly ?

Maybe Yoelmicro or Vidura could add something to my explanation for more clarity, they are both better teachers than me.

Thank you Jagau, don't get a whole lot of time to reply, but you spelled it out pretty great, thanks for taking the time to separate circuit into parts for easier understanding. I slightly remember one of my first circuits on the old site, where I only had ground connected and could touch the circuit to get an led to light, though don't think it was as bright, but think I measured a frequency on it in the khz, can't rly remember....4vpk but only uA too if I recall, not sure leds can operate at that.

Question for Jagau: in what conditions do you see your device having faster pulses ?

I'm asking this because in this evening I noticed the device pulses being much faster than usually:

Compare the pulses speed with the previous video from one of my posts above.

The pulses intensity is the same just the speed is much faster, I'd say at least twice faster if not more.

As a matter of fact the quantity of energy in one pulse should be constant as long as the values of the components are not changed, energy is discharged only when it reaches a certain quantity determined by the values of the components.

I didn't changed its configuration and there is no additional power emitting device in the room.

Then trying to find out what's changed I opened the window and I saw the night sky covered with thick clouds, probably there will be rain this night.

Considering I didn't noticed any differences in one of my previous tests when I shutdown my router's wireless the conclusion is the device is using and is influenced mostly by the natural energy in the area.

This device is amazing, basically it sense the increase of the natural energy in the area so it can announce changing weather conditions and the incoming rains (and maybe snows ?...) ! šŸ™‚

Hi Fighter
Yes it is a small detector whose pulse speed changes with the outside temperature, near a good storm, whether it's rain or snow or a certain level of humidity, the pulses become very fast, when I place it next to my coherence exciters it lights up all the time without flashing .

It's been 2 years that he flashes non-stop in my lab I saw him do all kinds of flash speed.

The components are calculated to iron the SCR when it reaches 3.3 vdc
A small circuit to discover and you could improve, have fun.

Ordered 3 more sets of components for building the miniaturized versions on permanent boards with soldering.

Also I found smaller replacements for the 220nF/630V big capacitor

220 NF/63 V MULT

These already came in a separate order and I replaced the one from the testing-board:

Didn't noticed any visible changes in the frequency of pulses and their intensity.

But I noticed more sensitivity of the device, pulses are faster when I just get my hand closer to the testing-board without touching it.

Also in the incoming order I have 2.2M resistors so I'm gonna replace these temporary resistors put in series.

Hi Fighter

Excellent work,

you know the power is so low that instead of 2.2 meg and 4.7 meg you can place small adjustable pots at this resistance value and so you can experience various voltages with the circuit and various flash levels, and maybe found something new to experiment?

I'm making a new two level flasher with two LEDs with just a little circuit modification, for those who want to experiment.

Hi Jagau,

Yes, I saw the effects of different values of resistors placed in the place of the 2.2M resistor. Didn't tried with the 4.7M resistor.

Adjustable resistors is a good idea, I'll look for those components to try on the current replica.

What I also want to try is to find a way to use a virtual grounding ("grounding in the air" as Don Smith called it) so the device can become mobile and don't depend on the grounding connection. Imagine a metalic flashlight recharging while not in use by using this kind of device. That would be nice.

So far I know the virtual/air grounding is less efficient than the earth grounding. Don Smith said it clearly, what he didn't described so clearly is how it can be implemented. Still looking for more details if there are any.

A virtual/air grounding would be also very useful for other of our devices needing ground connection including ZPM.

Looking forward for your two-level flasher experiment, thanks !

Fighter
